so, the stars of this years doctor who christmas spectacular have been announced and it is looking to be a fairly amazingly unbelievable special. how does sir michael gambon grab you? how about aria songstress extraordinaire katherine jenkins? leo bill, pooky quesnel, bailey pepper, danny horn (in his first role, what pressure), peter bowles, the list goes on. the character titles include the captain, the co-pilot, old kazran, middle kazran, older benjamin, so see what you can read from that. and according to imdb some of the "keywords" for the episode include: Christmas, Alien, Time Lord and Tardis, obviously, but also Space Opera, Robot As Menace, Self Sacrifice, Dark Past, Reincarnation, Space Hero, Man With No Name, Scientist, Anti Hero, Gadget, Girl Heroine, Multiple Actors For One Character, Surrealism and Dark Hero. There are more but they fairly non-revelationary [yep, i invent words]. so will this episode be slightly musical? will river song be involved being that she seems to be the only one who knows what the doctor's actual name is? will the cybermen be involved? why is reincarnation in there if matt smith is going to continue being the doctor forever and ever? will we perhaps see some old incarnations of the doctor seeing as one of the "key-phrases" is also 'multiple actors for one character'? will we see a darker side to the doctor? i really don't know and i can't wait. the wait is driving me crazy. i really hope steven moffat does implement the next series in two halves theory as then there will only be a couple of months between episode and not half a year. i can't continue to go this long without the doctor. it's inhumane.
